Minutes from previous meeting
No items bought fwd for discussion. No questions from September minutes posted on this website.
Review of 2016
Discussion commencing with comments from John Wilkinson [council]. The significant tree restoration project is now complete with all agreeing that the finished result is very good.
John W and Cr Jennie Boisvert summarised the impasse with no decisions or agreement on the Millswood Complex. The budget allocated for this work will now likely be moved away to the next priority which could be clubrooms work at Goodwood Oval. Those interested in this should follow Councillor blogs as they develop.
Monthly Activity Program
John W also wanted to promote this program for ongoing updates each month with free or low cost activities from now until June 2017. See this link: http://www.unley.sa.gov.au/culture-recreation/%E2%80%8Bparks-playgrounds#hash-slide-active-unley-208
Liquor license application Tennis Club update
John Friend stated that he is still waiting on an uopdate from Tennis SA and Council. Kent T [tennis SA] said that the two bodies are negotiating the Operational Agreement but expects it to be concluded in Feb/Mar 2017. The tennis club may consider applying for a temporary liquor licence for individual events. This is apparently quite straight forward according to John F.
Coopers Brewery has become the official beer partner for the Australian Open. This involvement may trickle down to club level with Coopers investing in club improvements, according to John Friend.
Verbal reports received from Football, Tennis & Hockey club representatives.
Cr. Jennie B gave a summary of the latest developments for the Millswood complex. See her blog on this interesting re-development on her website.
NEXT MEETING: March 8 2017.
