Clubroom building project – Development meeting (CAP) held 26 February 2019. Consent granted with minor amendments to hours of operation of the bar, dining and first floor clubrooms;

Monday to Wednesday 8am – 9pm

Thursday to Friday 8am – 11pm

Saturday 8 am – 12 midnight

Sunday 10am – 10pm

Note : 1am closure on New Years Day, no activity on Good Friday & Christmas Day.

This project has been appealed by two residents and will be moved for resolution through The Environment, Resources and Development (ERD) Court. Correspondence tabled from football & cricket club ; “Goodwood Oval Clubroom Noise & Behaviour Discussion Paper”.

Electronic scoreboard is now in place, eastern perimeter of the oval.

Club reports;

Tennis : Tournaments planned for during year. Looking to increase numbers of participants of complex. Tennis World and Goodwood Saints tennis club still in negotiation of court lease. Tennis SA have sent draft terms to both parties with a view to finalise asap.

Hockey : Juniors using pitch Sunday mornings & for training. Seniors use pitch for training also. Planning still underway re redevelopment of Women’s Memorial Playing Fields. No date available for hockey club vacating the complex.

Football : April 1 date for clubroom takeover. First senior home game April 6. Additional grounds/venues are required to accommodate for increase in junior teams & women. Team manager for C7 (integration difficulties), Phil Barnden, was awarded the ‘SA Pride of Australia” medal at the recent Australia Day Honours.

Cricket : No report.
